IMELDA, ZSP – MTF-ELCAC Leon B Postigo headed by Mayor Aidaroz Hambali, through Municipal Social Welfare and Development Arselou Lecias and 44th Infantry Battalion under Lt Col Filven Noche facilitated the funeral services and proper burial of late Loreto Dagpin aka Elyong, a former leader of the defunct Main Regional Guerilla Unit of Western Mindanao Regional Party Committee at Public Cemetery, Brgy Poblacion, Leon B Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte on 21 May 2022.

Loreto Dagpin was a resident of Sitio Teosan, Brgy Nasibac, Leon B Postigo, ZDN who died during an encounter with government troops at Sitio Kalakat, Brgy Midatag, Leon B Postigo on 12 May 2022 together with Rolando Maglasang, former leader of dismantled defunct Guerilla Front BBC. Their remains were immediately extracted from the encounter site, transferred to Villa-Babas Funeral Home – Liloy Branch for proper funeral services.

MTF ELCAC Leon B Postigo has shouldered the funeral services of the two slain CTG leaders and committed to provide financial and psycho-social services to the immediate family of Dagpin. MSWDO and TEAM 44IB visited the funeral wake of elyong and conducted dialogue to his immediate family and children at Brgy Sta Maria, Leon B Postigo, Zambonga del Norte.

TEAM 44IB continue convergence with Municipal Task Force ELCAC Leon Postigo in order to sustain its support the lives of former rebels and bereaved families to stay relevant and professional troopers respected and supported by the people of Zamboanga Peninsula.
