SSS holds RACE campaign in Gingoog City

GINGOOG CITY, Misamis Oriental (PIA) – The Social Security System (SSS) offered a Pandemic Relief Restructuring Program (PRRP) to financially-challenged delinquent employers during the Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaign, June 24.

With the support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gingoog, ten establishments received written notices from the SSS which ordered business owners to settle the accumulated contribution delinquencies worth P853,670 through the Enhanced Installment Payment Program or PRRP 3.

“This campaign aims at giving delinquent employers a chance to settle their obligations as mandated by law with the end result of ensuring the social security protection of their 38 employees who are affected by their non-compliance,” SSS Senior Vice President for Mindanao Operations Group and Concurrent Vice-President of Mindanao North Division Edwin M. Alo said.

Alo advised the remaining delinquent employers in the city to avail of the PRPR 3 which is open for applicants until November 22, 2022 and offers flexible installment terms ranging from nine to 60 months depending on the total amount of their obligation.

“Please take advantage of this opportunity to settle your contribution delinquencies to avoid adverse legal implications. Violation of the provisions of the Social Security Law is punishable by a fine of not less than Five Thousand Pesos nor more than Twenty Thousand Pesos or imprisonment of six years and one day nor more than 12 years, or both, at the discretion of the court,” Alo shared.
