Applications Still Open for New NRCP Associate Members

The National Research Council of the Philippines of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-NRCP) announced that they are still accepting scientists, engineers, artists, and researchers to join the roster of NRCP members until July 20, 2022.

NRCP is a council comprised of national pool of experts serving as an advisory body to the Philippine Government on matters of national interest. Through the years, associate and regular memberships have grown to a total of 5,000 members composed of researchers, scientists, engineers, and technologists in different fields of science, including the social sciences and humanities. Of the 5,000 members, there is a total of 343 NRCP members from Mindanao, 49 of which are from the Davao region.

The chosen members of the NRCP can avail of benefits and privileges such as funding for basic research projects, capacity and professional development opportunities and engagement as experts and advisers for various advisory and consultancy services from different sectors in the country.

Last May 2022, the DOST-NRCP adopted a new mode of accepting Associate Membership applications through the Scientific Knowledge Management System (SKMS), an online website by the NRCP. The call for applications will be announced in May and October annually.
