MATI CITY, Davao Oriental-- Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon took oath as the new Vice President for Local Taxation and Revenues of the League of Provinces of the Philippines in a ceremony officiated by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. at the Malacañang on August 11, 2022.
A Certified Public Accountant and a Lawyer by profession with a specialization as a corporate and tax lawyer, Governor Malanyaon vowed her commitment to sharing her expertise in helping push the President’s vision for development and achieve the country’s shared goal for progress by advancing its economic and social growth.
In a meeting with the League of Provinces of the Philippines members, President Marcos highlighted “the importance of planning as he stressed the need for better coordination mechanisms between the national and local governments, especially in agriculture and food supply.”
Governor Malanyaon, who is also pushing the same for her province, shares the President’s vigor to work on economic recovery through agriculture to enhance the living conditions of the people.
Aside from being elected as one of the officers of the League of Provinces of the Philippines, Governor Malanyaon was also one of the nominees to take the Chairmanship of the Regional Development Council XI.
