CAMIGUIN (PIA)--Visiting schools and doing head counts, the Department of Education (DepEd) Camiguin Provincial Office reported 25,006 learners from the 66 public and 13 private schools in the province who attended the first day of school for SY 2022-2023, August 22.
(Together with the local government, PNP on traffic management, Parents Teachers Association (PTA), and Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs), there was an orderly admission of learners in every school)
Abanil added that they ensured safety of learners through strict observance of the minimum public health standards along with putting up disinfection or wash areas in campuses.
Abanil together with ASDS Sunny Ray Amit personally visited the schools to do the counting as well as to provide technical support to the teachers.
To encourage participation of learners, the schools have prepared different gimmicks while some schools provided free school supplies.
