QUEZON CITY -- The Department of Agrarian Reform joins the nation in celebrating the 122nd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) for the whole month of September this year.

DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III said this is a great opportunity for every government employee to show their contribution to good governance in solidarity with the whole bureaucracy.

Estrella said the 10-year theme, ‘Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: “Honing Agile and Future-Ready-Servant Heroes,’ - “is very timely as it emphasizes the importance of preparing our civil servants for the challenges ahead.”

DAR Undersecretary for Finance Management and Administration Jeffrey Galan enjoins all DAR employees to actively participate in the month-long PCSA activities, which will be kicked off with the “Online Film Showing, starting from September 1 to 12.

Galan also invites health-conscious and dance-enthusiast employees to join in the other featured activity – the Zumba session with a certified instructor, one of the best ways of keeping oneself physically and mentally sound.

Participants in the PCSA activities are required to register at the link: https://fdcpchannel.ph of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Channel. The registration fee is P250 per participant.

Upon confirmation of registration, payment, and uploading of the official receipt, each participant will receive a voucher to access the selected films from the FDCP website.

Proceeds of the activity will go to the Pamanang Lingkod Bayan (PLB), a program that honors government workers who died in the line of duty through the provision of assistance plus scholarship opportunities to their family members. (DAR)
