CAMIGUIN (PIA)--The 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Rollout Roadshow was carried out, August 5, by the Camiguin Provincial Statistical Office of the Philippine Statistics Authority at Mambajao, Catarman, Sagay, Guinsiliban, and Mahinog, simultaneously at 8:00 a.m.
The activity kicked off with a motorcade around the said municipalities and stop-overs at selected areas to give out tokens and other IEC materials.
The PSO also conducted a motorcade with the CBMS jingle blasting through the speakers around the island while giving tokens and IEC materials along the way.
When the PSO team passed through each municipality, various municipalities immediately joined the motorcade and continued to the Provincial Convention Center for the program.
The event was attended by representatives from the CBMS Core Team in each municipality, various barangay authorities, LGU staff, PSA staff, some invited national government agency workers, and newly hired CBMS personnel for both LGU and PSA funded municipalities.
The activity was supported by Provincial Gov. Xavier Jesus D. Romualdo, who gave emphasis on the goal and objectives of the 2022 CBMS.
Meanwhile, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) representative pleads for full support on the project as the information gathered will serve as a tool for government initiatives that will be implemented in all provinces and municipalities in the near future.
CBMS is an organized technology-based system of collecting, processing, and validating necessary disaggregated data that may be used for local planning, program implementation, and impact monitoring while empowering communities to participate in the process. (PSA-Camiguin/PIA-10/Camiguin)
