OPOL, Misamis Oriental (PIA) – The National Commission on Muslim Filipino (NCMF)-Northern Mindanao through its Cultural Affairs Division (CAD) continued its “Balik Madrasah” Program in Al-Nour Arabic School and Northern Mindanao Academy for Arabic and Islamic Studies, both located at Vamenta, Barangay Barra, Opol, September 10.
The Balik Madrasah Program is a series of madrasah (sc visitation initiated by the NCMF-Northern Mindanao to mark the start of the new Islamic school year and the shift to face-to-face classes after the pandemic.
A total of 100 learners or “morits” were provided snacks and school kits comprised of plastic folders, notebooks, papers, pencils, crayons, and insect repellant, while each madrasah received a water dispenser and an electric fan.
CAD representatives also conducted a short dengue awareness discussion, explaining the symptoms, treatment, and the importance of clean surroundings and proper hygiene to prevent the spread of the disease in their respective areas.
The program serves as the NMCF Regional Office's means to continuously update the profile and registration of madaris in Northern Mindanao and support the Madrasah Development Program of the Commission. (NCMF-NM/PIA Misamis Oriental)
