CAMIGUIN (PIA)--A senior high student from Mambajao, Camiguin came out victorious against more than 100 contestants in the open category of the Online Consumer Quiz 2022.

Cedie Bucog, Jr. described his win as being unexpected as he had only reviewed for a short period of time.

Bucog won P5,000 as a cash prize for winning first place. Meanwhile, Raymond Cubeta of Cagayan de Oro City placed second, while Saifullah Mamailao of Lanao del Norte secured third place.

In a brief interview, Bucog shared that he will be using the cash prize to treat himself during the Lanzones Festival. A portion of the award will also be spent on his family.

The Online Consumer Quiz was open to all residents in Region 10 who are 18 years of age or older. More than 300 participants originally signed up for the virtual contest.

It is one of the activities organized by DTI Region 10 to promote consumer protection and awareness in celebration of Consumer Welfare Month 2022. (DTI-10/PIA-10/Camiguin)
