CLAVERIA, Misamis Oriental (PIA)--The cadaver of Susanito Hendita, a Communist Terrorist Group-New People Army (CTG-NPA) who died during the encounter with the 58th Infantry “Dimalulupig” Battalion (58IB) was given a decent burial and laid at a public cemetery through the assistance of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Balingsag, October 24.
The CTG-NPA member was killed during an armed clash between the government troops from 58IB at Barangay Alagatan, Gingoog City, October 20, 2022.
The cadaver was recovered and turned over to the immediate family with the help and effort of the local government of Gingoog City and brought to St. Peter Funerals Home for proper disposition by the Philippine National Police (PNP), Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO), and Gingoog City.
The decision to bury the cadaver of the slain NPA Terrorist was finalized by the family of the late Mr. Hendina and was received by his sister in coordination with the Brgy Council of Rosario.
58IB Commanding Officer LtC Christian C Uy, stated that 58IB already coordinated with the LGUs and other line agencies to support the bereaved family, especially in this time of grief.
