NNC MIMAROPA, headed by NPC Eileen Blanco with staff NO III Keren Gaya and PEO I Nichole Loyola were joined by RTWG members, Acting Chief BMS Christian Mendoza of DBM MIMAROPA, Senior Science Research Specialist Maria Rosita Sanico of DOST MIMAROPA, Regional EPAHP Coordinator Lemuel Tabaosares of DSWD MIMAROPA, ARPO II Ruby Oncita of DAR MIMAROPA, ND II Jezreel Deapera of DOH-CHD MIMAROPA, and MEO Joyselle Porte of DENR MIMAROPA.
During the meeting, Gaya reviewed and discussed what transpired on Day 1 of the RTWG Consultation Meeting, PPAN 2023-2028 Guiding Principles, Strategic Thrust, and Investments for PPAN while PEO Loyola presented the Interventions, Organization, and Management of the PPAN.
To identify the available programs, projects, and activities offered by the regional line agencies, each RTWG member presented their strategies and interventions for RPAN 2023-2028, including financial requirements and physical targets. Submitted strategies and interventions by other agencies not present in the meetings were also presented.
As part of the workshop, NNC member agencies are encouraged to revisit agency devolution transition plans to match tasks and accountabilities that are compatible, complementary, or supportive of nutrition-specific, nutrition-sensitive, or nutrition-enabling interventions in the PPAN; and revisit, develop and tighten institutional strengthening mechanisms for nutrition sector planning and programming.
NNC-Mimaropa and the RTWG shall work collectively to formulate an effective, dynamic, and realistic Regional Plan of Action for Nutrition (RPAN) 2023-2028 to address malnutrition concerns within the region. (NNC MIMAROPA)
