TUPAD is a package of community-based help that gives displaced workers, underemployed workers, and seasonal workers emergency work for at least 10 and up to 90 days.
Many people, particularly those in vulnerable sectors, were given job opportunities and financial assistance through TUPAD.
It is a safety-net initiative centered on the community that will offer temporary employment to people in the informal economy.
With the support of TUPAD's emergency employment program, local government units (LGUs) employ workers who supply necessities, pack relief supplies, transport frontline workers, clean and sanitize neighborhoods, and do other tasks as instructed by the LGU. (DOLE-10/PIA-10)
