Mogpog, Marinduque – With the incoming Gender and Development Director and at the same time Book Nook Marinduque Area Coordinator, Dr. Gerald Gutierrez will incorporate GAD Focal point system of Marinduque State College to Book Nook Marinduque. Outgoing BN Marinduque Area Coordinator Dr. Randy Nobleza passed on the torch of the National Book Development Board (NBDB) to the GAD focal point person who was then the MSC Mogpog Extramural Study Center administrator.
In relation to this, the new MSC Mogpog administrator Sir Gerald Pajanustan also committed to expand Book Nook Marinduque who is also the previous GAD FPS with satellite centers in Boac main campus and Gasan Institute of Fisheries.
Moreover, the former BN Marinduque area coordinator turned over the Graduate Diploma in Cultural Education (GDCE) Mimaropa to Mam Ruby Ann Lantita, the program chair of Bachelor of Culture, Arts Education. The incoming GDCE program director is among the first batch of GDCE teacher-scholars in the region in 2018-19.
Book Nook Marinduque is among the first batch of NBDB flagship areas launched in November 24, 2021. BN Marinduque has organized the Hibla Local Filipina in coordination with the Division office of Department of Education (DepEd) Marinduque. BN Marinduque was awarded the best advocacy program during the MSC Dangal Awards last year. Book Nook Marinduque has celebrated its first year anniversary in November 25 with a culminating activity of the Hibla Local Filipina 3 participants from Gasan, Boac and Mogpog District. (MSC)
