PCUP’s banner programs focus on social welfare programs following President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda to strengthen social protection, that includes housing facilitation with the “Piso Ko, Bahay Mo” program, resource mobilization with the “Lingkod Agapay Maralita (LAM)’ program, collaboration and partnership with the “PCUP Goodwill Ambassadors” program and urban poor data generation with the intention to establish PCUP satellite offices for the urban poor.
Undersecretary Jordan’s initiative to build satellite offices all over the country in participation with the Urban Poor Affairs Offices is aimed to generate data and to establish a database for the urban poor that would be beneficial to both the PCUP and the Local Government Units (LGUs).
“The urban poor problem of the country can be resolved if there is participation of all stakeholders, particularly local government units (LGUs) and we believe that the DILG, with the help of the honorable Secretary Benhur Abalos, can help us achieve our one goal to alleviate poverty in the country,” Undersecretary Jordan stressed.
