32 drug suspects arrested, P918K worth of shabu seized in Bakhaw buy-bust

ILOILO CITY (PIA) -- The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 6 and Iloilo City Police Station 5 operatives arrested 32 drug suspects and confiscated P918,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation conducted in Zone 2, Brgy. Bakhaw, Mandurriao, here, around 11:00 in the evening of January 25, 2023.

In a press release, issued by Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 – Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) chief Major Mary Grace Socorro Borio, the operatives identified the main subject of the said buy-bust operation were high-value individuals, Alony Leonor y Tribo, alias "Bata," 47 years old, and Elmer Leonor y Tribo, alias "Nonoy," 37 years old. They were siblings and both residents of said place.

The arrest was made after the two handed over a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer for P20, 000.00, while a Jeric Jimena served as their lookout in the session.

Moreover, while the selling is ongoing, seven to nine persons were caught in a “pot session” and the others were waiting outside to buy shabu.

Upon the arrest of the two main subjects, operatives recovered 19 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 135 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price value of P918,000.

To include, the operatives also recovered one improvised glass tooter, one red plastic ware of ice cream filled with

several drug paraphernalia, one digital weighing scale, cash amounting to P580.00, and one improvised glass tooter with shabu residues.

With this, PRO 6 regional director Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco lauded the operatives involved in the successful anti-illegal drugs operation.

“There will be no letup in our crusade against illegal drugs. We will further intensify and target high-value drug personalities in Western Visayas. Kasama po namin kayo sa tagumpay ng kampanyang ito, together we will suppress the illegal drug activities here in Western Visayas through your information given to my policemen,” said Francisco.

Also arrested during the said drug operation were:

1. Jeric Jimena y Prevendido, 30 years, single, a top six priority high-value individual, and a resident of Brgy. Bakhaw, Mandurriao, Iloilo City;

2. Jannah Mae Deocampo y Villa, 20 years old, single, and a resident of Brgy. North Baluarte, Molo Iloilo City;

3. Shan Jamir Macawiwili y Atinado, 31 years old, single, a resident of Brgy. Monica, City Proper, Iloilo City;

4. Rey June Supremo y Flores, 34 years old, single, and resident of Brgy. Rizal Ibarra, City Proper, Iloilo City;

5. Richard Jeruta y Pueblo, 23 years old, single, and a resident of Brgy. McArthur, La Paz, Iloilo City;

6. Ariel Valeriano y Intatano, 22 years old, single, and a resident of Brgy. Bagaygay, Sara, Iloilo;

7. Dexter John Argamaso y Aguilar, 23 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Rizal, La Paz, Iloilo City;

8. John Mark Pedregosa y Cornisa, 32 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Rizal Palapala, Zone 2, Iloilo City;

9. Jude Mark Gamala y Francisco, 24 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Alalasan, Lapuz, Iloilo City;

10. Robert John Yanson y Escalona, 25 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Villa Anita, Delgado St., Iloilo City;

11. Daniel Saranatin y Natabio, 40 years old, and a resident Of Zone 6, Boulevard Molo, Iloilo City;

12. Wilmon Santeria y Amilipit, 29 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Rizal Palapala, Zone 2, Iloilo City;

13. Anarie Concha y Gutierrez, 38 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Veterans Village, Iloilo City;

14. Nikko Gayonoche y Sara, 19 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Lag-an, Cabatuan, Iloilo;

15. Bryan Robles y Ilad, 32 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Topol, Cabatuan, Iloilo;

16. Lester Dabi y Estorba, 24 years old, and a resident of Durian St. Brgy. Bakhaw Mandurriao, Iloilo City;

17. Lawrence Soliva y Lim, 27 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Bolilao Mandurriao, Iloilo City;

18. Renato Sedurifa y Layon, 55 years old, and a resident of Zone 1B, San Juan, Molo, Iloilo City;

19. Angel Himar y Gentel, 25 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Quintin Salas, Jaro, Iloilo City;

20. Sandro Sacare y Sologastoa, 37 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Veterans Village, Iloilo City;

21. Richard Noñal y Muragas, 26 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Manue, Oton, Iloilo;

22. Paolo Catalan y De Asis, 28 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Veterans, Iloilo City;

23. Johnny Factoran y Liproso, 49 years old, and a resident of Brgy. San Antonio, Barotac Viejo Iloilo;

24. Juvet Balsomo y Cavistante, 24 years old, single, and a resident of Brgy. Monica, Iloilo City;

25. Devin Dan Tapia y Catequista, 28 years old, and a resident of Brgy. San Fernando, Barotac Viejo Iloilo;

26. Dustin Nicolai Ganzon y Ortalez, 35 years old, and a resident of Deca 3 Balabag, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo;

27. Charmaine Francisco y Porras, 41 years old, and a resident of Tanza Bonifacio, Iloilo City;

28. Mild Enriquez y Lazaro, 34 years old, married, and a resident of Brgy. Veterans Village, Iloilo City;

29. Edmundo Gabinete y Montaño, 45 years old, single, and a resident of Zone 1A, Molo, Iloilo City; and

30. Manuel Jones Señolay y Villanueva, 31 years old, single, and a resident of Zone 5, Boulevard, Molo, Iloilo City.        

All 32 suspects are now under the custody of Iloilo City Police Station 5 in Mandurriao, Iloilo City and the case for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared to file against them. (FRG/PIA6/Story and photos from PRO6-RPIO)
