CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)--Committed to providing efficient, effective, and sustainable irrigation services aiming toward the highest satisfaction of Filipino farmers, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA)-10 conducts the review and planning workshop and assesses the targets and commitments based on the performance of each office.
The goal of the planning workshop is to work out any problems or worries about how the project will be carried out and to share strategies and best practices from each office that can be used in other offices.
The workshop had an output of pipelined activities for the year 2023 to effectively implement the direction and provide services to the stakeholders. The various irrigation management offices, sections, and units attended the aforementioned.
NIA-10 Regional Manager Engr. Leonila E. Tenestrante said the agency will continue to initiate programs in consonance with improved planning, design, and implementation of irrigation developments region-wide.
She further explained that this activity is to ensure efficient and effective operation and maintenance of existing irrigation systems
On the other hand, acting Division Manager for Engineering and Operations Remegio B. Ang, Jr., hoped that the workshop would encourage NIA implementers to learn about the programs and projects that the agency will be working on in the coming years.
"By comprehensive planning and reviewing the different implementation strategies and learning experiences, more farmers will be benefited, and accomplishments will be easily attainable," Division Manager for Admin and Finance Sharon Rose S. Baiza said. (NIA-10/PIA-10)
