BARMM trains employees on efficient use of public funds

MARAWI CITY (PIA)--Government employees from various BARMM ministries, offices, and agencies were oriented on how to effectively and efficiently use government resources, February 6.

The Ministry of Finance, Budget, and Management (MFBM) led the orientation on the Omnibus Guidelines on the Execution of Personnel Services Fund, which were meant to promote, adopt, and put into practice the smart and efficient use of government resources for real regional development.

It also wants to help the Bangsamoro become economically self-sufficient by giving the participants technical knowledge about the rules and procedures for the Personnel Services Itemization and Plantilla of Personnel (PSIPOP) as well as the guidelines and general instructions for the release of personnel services funds.

Lawyer Rahma Sanglitan, MFBM Bangsamoro Budget office director, emphasized how important it is to talk about and clarify issues related to the administration of the Bangsamoro Government's compensation and position classification policies so that workers don't get paid late and funds aren't mishandled.

"As champions of moral governance and transparency, it is among our top priorities to ensure the sound and efficient utilization of government resources," she said.

This, she said, entails great responsibility and accountability, especially with the growing Bangsamoro Government manpower as they envision a fully operational bureaucracy.

Resource speakers from various government agencies and institutions, including the Civil Service Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Government Service Insurance System, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industriya, at Gobyerno (Pag-IBIG) Fund, also joined the orientation.
