MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA)--The Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA)-Regional Training Center (RTC)-Tagoloan and Minergy Power Corporation signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to offer supervised industry learning (SIL) opportunities to its trainees, February 10.
The agreement will provide a platform for the trainees to gain hands-on experience and supervised industry training (SIT) or on-the-job training (OJT) in their respective fields and help them transition smoothly into the workforce.
Under Section 3.2, "Training Delivery," of the Training Regulations (TRs), the MOA is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitude of the trainees through actual experience in the workplace and help them acquire the competencies prescribed in the Training Regulations.
Mario S. Labisig, station manager for Minergy Power Corporation, Percy G. Brizuela, and station services department representative Wenefredo L. Madera, Jr. all signed the MOA.
Labisig expressed excitement about the partnership and how it will benefit the trainees since the Minergy Power Corporation is one of the biggest power plants in Mindanao.
"The signing of the MOA is a significant step towards creating a stronger partnership between RTC-Tagoloan and Minergy Power Corporation. It will provide the graduates with the practical experience they need to succeed in their careers and help bridge the gap between education and industry," he shared.
Officials from both organizations expressed hope that this will be the first of many partnerships to come. (TESDA-MisOr/PIA-10/Misamis Oriental)
