LANAO DEL NORTE (PIA)--Regional Development Council (RDC)-10 Chairperson and Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda "Angging" Quibranza-Dimaporo took oath as a new member of the Board of Directors of the Mindanao Development Authority (MindDA), February 23.
A meeting was then held that gathered 12 members of the MinDA Board of Directors, composed of the Chairpersons of Mindanao RDCs, including the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
"I would like to thank the Mindanao Development Authority for steadfastly supporting us in our pursuit of attaining sustainable and inclusive growth for northern Mindanao," Dimaporo said.
The goal of the meeting is to talk about and pass resolutions and policies that are in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s 8-Point Socio-Economic Agenda for the long-term socio-economic development of Mindanao.
In the meeting, the Mindanao Socio-Economic Development Report, Proposed Strategic Priorities for Mindanao, and Ongoing and Proposed Priority Programs and Projects in Mindanao under MinDA’s initiatives were carefully deliberated.
Gov. Dimaporo, together with former 2nd District Rep. Abdullah "Bobby" Dimakuta Dimaporo, also paid a courtesy visit to former President Rodrigo ‘Digong’ Roa Duterte at his home.
She thanked the former president for all the help the province of Lanao del Norte got while he was in office, especially for his "Build, Build, Build" program, which made the long-awaited Panguil Bay Bridge a reality.
"Di gyud namo malimtan ang imong pagkamaayo (We will never forget your greatness). We look forward to crossing that bridge with you as soon as it’s completed, even if you are no longer the president," she said. (PIO Lanao del Norte/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
