88 Camiguin interns deployed under GIP

CAMIGUIN (PIA)--The 88 interns of the province under the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE)-10 Government Internship Program (GIP) are now officially deployed to the various government offices after they were oriented on their roles and responsibilities, February 16, at the Camiguin Convention Center, Pandan, Mambajao, here.

DOLE-10 Camiguin Provincial Field Office’s OIC, Annalyn Laser, motivated the interns with the quote and, as part of the orientation, guided them with ample knowledge as they began their career journey in public service. The discussions focused on administrative guidelines and government work ethics protocols, among others.

Moreover, Laser said the interns will receive a daily stipend of P405 (Region 10’s highest daily minimum wage rate) for an internship period of February 16–August 25, 2023. Also, they are entitled to one year of insurance coverage under the Government Service Insurance System’s Group Personal Accident Insurance.

GIP provides young workers, particularly the poor and indigent, the opportunity to demonstrate or showcase their talents, skills, and potentials for them and be able to learn and gain government service experience. (DOLE-Camiguin/PIA-10/ Camiguin)
