CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)--The Regional Development Council (RDC)-10 endorsed the fiscal year 2024 budget proposals of agency regional offices, state universities and colleges, and other government instrumentalities during its first quarter meeting, March 24, at the Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City and via web conferencing. 

These budget proposals aim to usher the region towards deep economic and social transformation to reinvigorate job creation and accelerate poverty reduction.

Proposed projects were vetted and endorsed by the RDC-10 Sector Committees during their meetings, March 8–13, and supported by the Region 10 Congresspersons during its Advisory Committee meeting, March 17.

The Council also supported the following regional priorities: shear line and wind convergence rehabilitation and recovery program for northern Mindanao; revival of the regional budget allocation scheme; Region 10 and Mindanao-wide major and priority catalytic projects included in the infrastructure flagship projects 2023–2028 of the Marcos administration; and northern Mindanao major and priority catalytic projects for consideration as national high impact and urgently needed projects for 2023–2028 of the Marcos administration.

In her message, RDC-10 Chairperson and Lanao del Norte Governor, Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo said, "With all of us supporting each other, I am optimistic that we can attain and will not lose sight of the aspirations and targets we commit for Northern Mindanao." (NEDA-10/PIA-10)
