Aloranon SHS benefits from pre-employment coaching

OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental -- A total of 400 Senior High students of Aloran Trade High School attended the Career Coaching Seminar conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment -X (DOLE-X) through its Misamis Occidental Provincial Field Office (Mis. Occ. PFO) in coordination with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

With a theme, “Follow the Guide, Tag a Career, Like the Future,” the activity was held on April 17, 2023 at Al Trade covered court, Labo, this province.

It was graced by the school principal, Melchesiedick Q. Bolanio who stressed the need of preparing future employees on work ethics, the culture of productive and decent labor, and other workplace dynamics.

Bolanio also said the seminar will help students understand their duties and responsibilities while applying for jobs and the industry and profession they want to work in.

Topics covered during the activity included résumé and application letter preparation, common job interview questions, proper grooming, networking, and building supportive relationships with others.

An overview of general labor standards, acquiring relevant employment information, the current labor market and its key employment generators, and work ethics were also discussed.

Guidance Counsellor, Virginia Cajan commended the DOLE for delivering a complete bundle of pre-employment and labor market information at the end of the activity.

Students dressed in the best costumes of their chosen profession were also recognized and given monetary awards. (DOLE MisOcc/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
