CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY -- The Cagayan de Oro City Civil Registry System (CRS) Outlet goes live, May 4, with the enhancement and implementation of the new system to the Civil Registry System- Information Technology Project Phase 2 (CRS-ITP2).

The CRS-ITP2 involves the computerization of the civil registry operations of the PSA and is designed to collect, access, store, maintain and manage civil registry documents and the specimen signatures of all city and municipal registrars using imaging technology.
It also includes the production of vital statistics and makes the civil registry services available nationwide through the CRS outlets and other authorized partners.
The new features of CRS-ITP2 include security paper, QR codes on every page of civil registry documents to verify authenticity, unique transaction numbers per document, and serial numbers. Documents also assigned, where appropriate, a Birth Reference Number, Marriage Reference Number, or Death Reference Number.
The new system allows citizens to transact for copy issuances such as birth, cenomar, cenodeath, marriage and death certificates, and authentication. It makes also the documents viewable online and viewers can transact for docprint for the document to be printed on security paper.
