MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA)--As part of its support to the well-being and healthcare of animals in the province, the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office (DA-RFO)-10, under the leadership of OIC-Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado, continued its assistance to the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) of Misamis Oriental with its distribution of P61,525 worth of veterinary drugs and biologics.
Funded by the Livestock Program of DA-10 under its Animal Health program, the PVO of Misamis Oriental received the provisions from OIC-Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations Cora A. Dumayaca, DA-10 consultant Joel S. Rudinas, and Livestock Program focal person Jamaica L. Docdoc at the agency compound.
The turned-over drugs and biologics include several antibacterials, disinfectants, and vitamins, among others, primarily in support of animal disease control and prevention in the province. The DA-10 also continues to render extension support and conduct animal health activities and health monitoring.
The assistance serves to complement Misamis Oriental Governor Peter ''Sr.Pedro'' M. Unabia's PAGLAUM strategic direction, wherein the provincial government is prioritizing agricultural and livestock development as one of its key pillars for poverty eradication. (DA-10/PIA-10/Misamis Oriental)
