BARMM’s Marawi Rehab Program assists in rebuilding displaced residents’ homes

MARAWI CITY—The Bangsamoro Government's Marawi Rehabilitation Program (MRP) is providing assessments for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Most Affected Areas (MAA) of the 2017 Marawi siege to provide construction materials, building permits, technical, and emergency shelter assistance to rebuild and repair their damaged houses.

In April, BARMM-MRP staff conducted ocular visits to applicants for construction materials assistance (CMA), which is one of the main projects aimed at assisting Marawi IDPs.

Qualified beneficiaries will receive building materials, labor grants, and free training from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for the workers who will build the houses. However, applicants must follow requirements and processes to avail of the project.

[To all qualified applicants, please wait a little while because these projects have many processes. Even us at MRP want to provide you with your needs immediately but we have protocols to follow.]

The Bangsamoro leadership is also constructing housing projects in the different neighboring towns of Marawi City for qualified IDPs.

[The Bangsamoro Government's construction of housing projects for IDPs is ongoing, which is why the MRP staff had a thorough validation for qualified applicants.

The socio-economic and technical assessment is one of the considerations in determining whether the applicant qualifies to be among the beneficiaries of the CMA. (BIO & MRP /PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
