QUEZON CITY, (PIA)--Art Show Philippines, a community committed to showcasing and empowering Philippine art and artists with a social media following of nearly 32,000, has organized a cultural tour and art exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from May 18-21, 2023.
The 1st ASP Art without Borders Program includes 24 contemporary Filipino artists selected through a rigorous curatorial review, providing a unique opportunity for artists to exchange ideas, form a collaborative network and gain access to resources, workshops, seminars, lectures and cultural sites.
“Embarking on a cultural study tour can unlock a whole new dimension of appreciation for art and culture. Through immersion in a particular culture, one can gain a holistic understanding of its customs and traditions and truly experience its way of life," said Frederick Epistola, Art Show Philippines founder.
"This immersion is a key factor in developing cultural awareness and artistic development,” he added.
The ASP Art Without Borders Program – Kuala Lumpur is in collaboration with MoMo’s Hotel and supported by The Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Museum of Islamic Art, Malaysia, Museum of Asian Art, University of Malay, Miniuture Museum Kuala Lumpur, Provincial Government of Camarines Sur,City Government of Pasay, Municipality of Alfonso, Cavite ,Municipality of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro , Municipality of Silang, Cavite, Municipality of Lubang, Occidental Mindoro and Municipality of Sta.
