LALA, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10, through its Lanao del Norte Provincial Field Office (LDNFO), in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), conducted an orientation for 111 Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) beneficiaries here at the North Central Mindanao College Gymnasium (NCMC) in Maranding, May 30.
DOLE LDNFO OIC Provincial Director Lawyer Safrali S. Cabili highlighted that SPES is a youth employment-bridging program, one of DOLE’s strategies that aims to provide beneficiaries with temporary employment throughout the year.
This program ensures that beneficiaries are able to pursue their education in any secondary, tertiary, or technical-vocational institution.
During the orientation, SPES focal Najirah A. Lawi discussed DOLE’s SPES program and how it can help students work and learn while providing employment opportunities to those who want to earn money during their summer vacation.
"It is significant to be aware and informed about workplace etiquette as it creates a professional and wholesome atmosphere and enhances communication, which helps the workplace be as productive as it can be," Lawi said.
SPES is DOLE’s youth employment-bridging program that aims to provide temporary employment to poor but deserving students, out-of-school youth, and dependents of displaced or potentially displaced workers during summer and/or Christmas vacations, or at any time of the year.
This program helps augment the family’s income and ensures that beneficiaries can pursue their education. (DOLE Lanao del Norte/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
