Baganga, Davao Oriental - - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI opened its new extension office in Baganga, Davao Oriental on May 18, 2023.

Under the supervision of the DOLE-Davao Oriental Field Office (DOFO), the said extension office was strategically set up in the municipality of Baganga as the midpoint of the province’s First District.

This expansion aims to bring the programs, services, as well as the support of the Department closer to the clients, stakeholders, and industries in Baganga and to the Geographically Disadvantaged Areas (GDAs) in the said district.

The inauguration ceremony was led by DOLE XI Regional Director lawyer Randolf C. Pensoy, Asst. Regional Director lawyer Jason P. Balais, and DOLE-DOFO Provincial Head Rodolfo T. Castro, Jr.

It was also attended by government officials, community representatives, and DOLE XI Management Committee, all of whom expressed their warmth and readiness for the increased accessibility of DOLE programs and services in the area.

"DOLE XI recognizes the potential for economic progress in Baganga and Davao Oriental as a whole. By establishing a physical presence in this municipality, we demonstrate our commitment to provide timely and relevant support to local job seekers, employers, and workers,” Pensoy said.

He added that by extending DOLE XI’s reach to communities outside major urban centers in Davao Region, the Office aims to foster inclusive growth, empower local industries, and uplift the lives of Davaoeños.
