BARMM distributes Qurbani meat to needy families on Eid’l Adha

MARAWI CITY—The Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) of the Bangsamoro Government through its Project Tulong Alay sa Bangsamorong Nangangailangan (TABANG) distributed 473 cows across the Bangsamoro region on the auspicious occasion of Eid'l Adha, June 28, bringing joy and relief to 15,000 deserving families.

Project TABANG, known for its commitment to social assistance, aims to extend support to vulnerable families during the Eid celebration thru Qurbani meat distribution.

The distribution of cows is a significant part of this annual initiative, symbolizing the importance of communal sharing and the values of sacrifice cherished by Muslims.

“Ito na rin yung way ng BARMM government na ipakita sa kanila ang kahalagahan ng aktibidad na ito sapagkat tayo, bilang Muslim, kung gusustuhin natin at kaya natin ay kailangang makapag-Qurban tayo," said Project TABANG Humanitarian Services Unit Head Datu Serhan Badal.

[This is also the BARMM government's way of showing them the importance of this activity because we, as Muslims, if we want to and can, we must be able to offer Qurban.]

Through this, Project TABANG aims to alleviate the economic burdens faced by families in need, ensuring they can partake in the spirit of Eid.

Project TABANG reaffirms its dedication to improving the lives of the Bangsamoro people and fostering a sense of unity and compassion among the community. (BIO/PIA Lanao del Sur)
