DA-10 inks MOU for EPAHP to mitigate hunger, reduce poverty

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)--Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office (DA-RFO)-10 Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado inks the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program, July 13, 2023, at the agency compound.

The program aims to aid in reducing hunger, eliminating poverty in urban and rural areas, including marginalized communities, and ensuring food security.

With the said agreement, DA-10 shall provide agricultural and fishery inputs and services, capacity building, and organizational strengthening assistance to farmers and fisherfolk organizations.

Also, assist groups in acquiring funding from microfinance and other credit institutions and mobilizing resources for agricultural produce cultivation, processing, and postharvest facilities.

Other national government agencies have also marked their commitment ahead, June 23, 2023.

It can be recalled that Collado has already signed the same MOU, which previously had a one-year validity, while the document that the DA official has just signed will be in effect until 2028.
