DPWH Mimaropa conducts blood donation program

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Mimaropa through the initiative of Regional Director Gerald A. Pacanan, CESO III and in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, conducted a Blood Donation Program held at DPWH-MIMAROPA Multi-Purpose Gymnasium on July 20, 2023.

Employees and officials enthusiastically participated in the said activity that has collected a total of 55 blood units.

The said program is beneficial and crucial to our country's healthcare system as this will help replenish and ensure adequate, safe, and quality blood reserves in the country.

Moreover, the act of blood donation does not only save lives but it is also associated with several health advantages for the donors, including stimulating the production of fresh blood cells, preventing certain illnesses and maintaining cardiovascular health. (DPWH)
