OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)--In a heartwarming display of community spirit and dedication to food security, the women's organization members of Barangay Gotocan Diot, Ozamiz City took the lead in conducting a 'pahina' (cleanup) at the Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC) communal garden in celebration of National Nutrition Month.

These strong women demonstrated their commitment to ensuring Nutrisyong Sapat Para Sa Lahat (sufficient nutrition for all) in Ozamiz City under the leadership of their president, Mary Jane Medellada.

The 'pahina' is a traditional practice where community members come together to work hand in hand, planting and cultivating crops in communal gardens. This collective effort fosters a strong sense of unity and shared responsibility for food production.

Under the banner of Nutri Asenso Ozamiz, the women's organization worked tirelessly, dedicating their time and efforts to cultivating the garden, contributing to the city's food security, and promoting the availability of nutritious meals for all residents.

With the belief that access to sufficient and nutritious food is the foundation of a thriving community, the women's organization at Barangay Gotocan Diot demonstrated their exemplary dedication to the welfare of their fellow citizens.

The success of this community-driven project would not have been possible without the leadership and guidance of Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) Airish Tactacon, who has been actively supporting and promoting food security initiatives in the area.
