LGU Clarin holds basketball league to fight illegal drugs

CLARIN, Misamis Occidental (PIA)--Under the supervision of Mayor Emeterio "Jojo" Dacer Roa, Jr., the Local Government of Clarin kicked off its 6th day basketball game dubbed Bola Kontra Droga Campaign and Police Community Relations (PCR) Month Celebration for its anti-drug campaign held at Barangay Poblacion III, Clarin, here.

The activity showcased the said activities to its 29 barangays as part of the continuing efforts to fight against illegal drugs and remain a drug-free municipality with the theme "Values Development through Sports."

The teams included Philippine National Police (PNP) officers with the presence of PNP Chief Jingle Esick and a special guest, the PNP Chief of Jimenez-Bryan Daculos, LGU employees, barangay officials of Barangay Poblacion III headed by Maria Nina Castillon, and the Person Who Used Drugs (PWUDs) team, together with a special guest, the Clarin Eagles Club.

The game displayed true commitment and unity. The activity successfully ended with no untoward incidents.

"We express our deepest gratitude to the Oaminal administration and LGU-Clarin for their unwavering support for the betterment of our community. Together, let's continue to fight against drugs and ensure a drug-free municipality," a barangay official said. (LGU Clarin/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
