Over P3M worth of DOLE's livelihood grants released to 111 Iliganons

ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 disbursed over P3.3 million worth of livelihood assistance to 111 individual beneficiaries from the informal sector under its Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).

DILP seeks to create inclusive opportunities that empower and support members of society toward economic improvement.

According to Lanao del Norte Provincial Field Office Chief Lawyer Safrali S. Cabili, each beneficiary received a total of P30,000 worth of livelihood kits in the form of raw materials, serving as capital to kickstart various small businesses, such as rice trading.

Cabili emphasized that DOLE's livelihood assistance is provided to those seeking sources of income to enable their families to thrive and fulfill their needs. He extended gratitude to partner stakeholders, particularly Elsie Sabuero, the Accredited Co-Partner (ACP), for their unwavering support in public service.

He expressed hope that the provided livelihood resources would be well maintained, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the entire community.

Renold A. Guhoc, a resident of Barangay San Roque and one of the beneficiaries, expressed his gratitude for the livelihood grant.

"Salamat kayo sa DOLE kay dako kini nga tabang pinaagi sa negosyo. Dungag ni sa among tindahan aron masuportahan ang among mga panginahanglanon [Thank you so much to DOLE because, through this grant, I can provide significant assistance through my business. This adds to our store to help meet our needs]," said Guhoc.

DILP, also known as the Kabuhayan Program, stands as a flagship initiative of DOLE and is aimed at assisting marginalized groups, including self-employed individuals struggling with income, unpaid family members, low-wage and seasonal workers, as well as those displaced or facing displacement.
