TAGUIG CITY -- The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has announced the winners of the logo making contest for its new slogan, “Sa TESDA, Lingap ay Maasahan.”
Three designs with the highest scores were eventually chosen. These were the entries of Nichole Destor of Negros Oriental, Mark Aries Reyes of Leyte, and Christoffer Diestro of Maguindanao del Sur.
Each of the winners will receive P10,000 and a Certificate of Recognition.
The contest ran from July 18 to July 31, 2023 and a total of 1,676 entries were received.
All the best elements from each of the winning designs were incorporated into one unified logo.
Likewise, the public is reminded that the new logo will represent TESDA’s new slogan and guiding principle, “Sa TESDA, Lingap ay Maaasahan”, but will not replace the official corporate logo of the agency.
The logo for the new slogan was judged by the following criteria: Originality (30%); relevance to the concept of the new TESDA Slogan (40%); and, impact (30%).
TESDA Secretary Suharto T. Mangudadatu said that the agency has successfully reached millions of Filipinos by providing inclusive and free technical vocational education and training (TVET) nationwide in various training modalities.
“The new TESDA slogan demonstrates the agency's stronger advocacy to give our kababayans even better access to quality-assured and globally competitive tech-voc, and communicate to the public TESDA's aspiration to provide public service with a heart aligned with the administration's brand of governance and leadership ‘Bagong Pilipinas’,” Secretary Mangudadatu said.
