DPWH Biliran officials inspect progress of new DPWH standard office building

NAVAL, Biliran -- Officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) - Biliran District Engineering Office (DEO) headed by OIC-District Engineer Alfredo L. Bollido and Assistant District Engineer Irwin L. Antonio conducted an inspection of its ongoing two-storey DPWH Standard Office Building in Brgy. Larrazabal, Naval on August 1.

The inspection was accompanied by some section chiefs and unit heads of the district with the presence of some media practitioners in the province for transparency of its project implementation.

Bollido reported that as per inspection, the said building under its 2022 funding is already substantially completed.

“The project is already substantially completed, meaning the contractor is now working on the finishing touches of the building such as the installation of glass windows, lighting fixtures, painting works and housekeeping/overall cleanliness,” Bollido said.

According to Bollido, P60-M budget has been allocated for the construction of the new DPWH-Biliran DEO building, prioritized for funding through the efforts and hardwork of Rep. Gerardo J. Espina Jr. under its 2022 implementation.

Moreover, Bollido reported that the district office also implemented the phase II/completion of the said building under its 2023 implementation with an allocation amount of P20-M. The said project involves the construction of the multipurpose hall and fitness room located at the rooftop of the building.

Bollido reported that as of July 31, 2023, the project has an accomplishment rate of 58.01%. (DPWH-BDEO)
