PSA implements PhilSys Project, aids 383 beneficiaries in Serbisyo Fair

TACLOBAN CITY -- The Philippine Statistics Authority's (PSA) implementation of the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) sealed its mission to help 383 beneficiaries during the first launch of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Biliran Province State University, Naval, Biliran, on Aug. 26-27, 2023.

Marginalized communities especially those belonging to the Indigenous People and Muslim Filipinos were given priority in the said project, ensuring that they will be registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices and PhilSys National Identification System.

The PhilSys registration service area, mobile acceptance of requests for civil registry documents, and awarding of birth certificates in security papers, are some of the PSA services offered during the Serbisyo Fair.

House Speaker and Leyte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, Tingog Party-list Representative Jude A. Acidre, Biliran Representative Gerardo J. Espina Jr., and Governor Gerard Roger M. Espina, assisted by Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, awarded the birth certificate in security paper to the said beneficiaries.

These beneficiaries can now avail of their PhilSys ID and access various social benefits. (PIA Leyte/With reports from PSA RSSO 8)
