OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)--In a collective effort to promote community health and well-being, the Ozamiz City Health Office (CHO) has joined hands with the Philippine Medical Association's 66th National Medicine Week Celebration, taking place from September 24–30.
The Misamis Occidental Ozamiz Medical Society's local chapter hosted this collaborative initiative, which provided free consultations, free medications, and free physical examinations across a wide range of healthcare services.
The event encompassed various medical specialties, including surgery, OB-gynecology, internal medicine, pediatrics, family medicine, and, crucially, laboratories.
The presence of these comprehensive medical services aims to cater to the diverse healthcare needs of the Ozamiz community.
Heading the CHO team was Dr. Maria Florilyn Yrogyrog, whose dedication to community health played a pivotal role in making this event possible.
Dr. JM Feliciano, president of the Misamis Occidental Ozamiz Medical Society, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Padayon Asenso Ozamiz Administration, led by Mayor Lawyer Indy Oaminal, for their unwavering support.
This partnership has allowed the Philippine Medical Society to serve as a vital partner in delivering healthcare services to the people of Ozamiz.
The event unfolded at the Ozamiz City Gym on September 25, 2023, running from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It drew the participation of healthcare professionals, local government representatives, and the community, emphasizing the spirit of unity and commitment to advancing healthcare for all residents of Ozamiz City.
