The City Government of Calapan in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Oriental Mindoro conducts the 2023 Community–Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Form 5–Geotagging and Processing of Service Institutions and Infrastructure, and government projects in Calapan City.
Four data collectors are currently geotagging the pre-identified institutions, infrastructure, and government projects in the 62 barangays in the city. This will be followed by processing and verification of the collected data.
This aims to collect information on the number of facilities and/or services available in the barangay. This is needed to properly access the current situation at the barangay level for program and projects implementation.
Kean B. Gino and Engr. Emmanuelle Bren V. Borras serve as the city’s CBMS map focal and alternate focal persons, respectively.
The CBMS refers to an organized technology-based system of collecting, processing, and validating necessary disaggregated data that may be used for planning, program implementation, and impact monitoring at the local level while empowering communities to participate in the process. Through the conduct of CBMS, several local-level key development indicators that capture various aspects of quality of life in cities and municipalities will be gathered and compiled, particularly on health, nutrition, housing, water and sanitation, basic education, income, employment, and peace and order.
The PSA is committed to deliver relevant and reliable statistics.
