TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA)-- The provincial government provided P3 million worth of farm inputs to 289 smallholder poultry farmers in this province who had suffered from disasters.
The Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO), which organized the distribution, gave each smallholder farmer 25 day-old broiler chicks, 25 kilograms of booster feeds, 50 kilograms of starter feeds, 1 kilogram of multivitamins, and 1 box of antibiotics.
"Kani na mga chicks, feeds, and biologics gihatag ni sa provincial government isip tabang sa atong mga poultry farmers nga naigo sa calamities sama atong trough of LPA na naka damage gyud sa atong poultry production [These chicks, feeds, and biologics were provided by the provincial government as assistance to our poultry farmers affected by calamities such as the trough of the low-pressure area that significantly damaged our poultry production]," said Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Fritzie Provido.

Beneficiaries from 13 municipalities, namely Kapatagan, Tubod, Lala, Kolambugan, Baroy, Poona Piagapo, Magsaysay, Salvador, Balo-i, Kauswagan, Tangcal, Bacolod, and Sultanaga Dimaporo, showed appreciation to the provincial government and the initiative of Governor Imelda 'Angging' Quibranza-Dimaporo.
"Kami taga Tubod, isip representante, dako kaayo among pasalamat kay gihatagan mi ninyo niini. Amo ning ampingan ug maghatag pud mi og report sa update niining gipang hatag sa gobyerno [We, from Tubod, as representatives, are very grateful for what you have given us. We will take care of this and provide report on the assistance received from the government]," Elmer Laranjo from Barangay Pigcarangan, Tubod, said.
