OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA) -- Residents in this province and nearby areas can expect improved medical and health services with the ongoing construction of the Asenso Misamis Occidental Medical Center at Barangay Talairon, Oroquieta City.
Governor Henry S. Oaminal inspected the hospital construction of the medical center, which is seen as further boosting the province’s healthcare system. He was conducted around by the site engineer and Provincial Engineers Office, who briefed him on the project’s status.
The P1-billion project of the Oaminal administration aims to strengthen medical and health services that would improve the quality of life of the people of Misamis Occidental.
“The construction of the Asenso Misamis Occidental Medical Center is part of my administration’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life for our constituents. This project aims to provide accessible and affordable health care services to every Misamisnon, especially those in remote and underserved areas,” Oaminal said.
For the past administration, the provincial hospital has experienced problems in the delivery of health services until the coming of the present administration of Governor Henry Oaminal, and as such, the Misamisnons will forever remain grateful for the gesture.
The project will surely be of great benefit, not only to the people of Misamis Occidental but also to those of neighboring provinces.
The first phase in front of the highway area is expected to be completed in 2024, and the target completion of the medical center is expected to be completed the following year, in 2025. (PGMO/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
