CLARIN, Misamis Occidental (PIA) -- To revolutionize the agricultural landscape of Misamis Occidental, the provincial government, under the leadership of Gov. Henry Oaminal, marked the groundbreaking ceremony of the swine multiplier and techno demo farm project at Barangay Sebasi in the Municipality of Clarin.
The Department of Agriculture's (DA) Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC)-10 is backing the initiative, which aims to support the swine industry and advance farming methods.
On behalf of the governor, OIC Provincial Agriculture Office OIC Mercy Uy expressed her gratitude to the funding agency for their support in realizing this groundbreaking venture that is set to elevate the province's agricultural sector. The techno demo farm, which received generous funding of P10 million from ATI-RTC-10, is poised to be a game-changer for Clarin.
"This initiative will not only boost our local economy but also enhance the agricultural practices in our community," said Mayor Jojo Roa, adding that the project, which is named as the first of its kind in the province and the entire region, focuses on establishing a sow-swine multiplier."
The farm is designed to showcase cutting-edge technologies and best practices in swine farming, setting a benchmark for others to follow. Uy, Vice Mayor Ging Oaminal Delos Santos, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan also graced the occasion.
The ceremonial groundbreaking was a symbolic moment, marking the commencement of a venture that holds the potential to propel Misamis Occidental into a new era of agricultural prosperity. As the construction begins, anticipation runs high for the positive impact this pioneering swine multiplier and techno demo farm project will bring to the province, setting a precedent for sustainable and innovative farming practices.
