NEDA's NorMin and Bicol regions discuss impact evaluation, project monitoring in Region X

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) – Regional Office X welcomed NEDA-Regional Office V to Northern Mindanao and hosted the latter’s benchmarking activities on Impact Evaluation and Project Monitoring from 22 to 26 January 2024.

Led by the NEDA-X Project Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PMED), the party embarked on a journey across Region X, exploring big-ticket projects and monitoring key developments. The itinerary included strategic visits and knowledge-sharing sessions aimed at fostering better understanding and collaboration between regions.

Highlights included discussions on the Impact Evaluation Studies on the Gingoog City-Claveria-Villanueva Road in the province of Misamis Oriental and the Abaca Processing and Trading Enterprise in the province of Catanduanes in Region V. Also shared were the Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System and NEDA-X-pioneered innovations such as the Innovative Platform for PPA's Location Assessment, Monitoring, Investment Programming, and Budgeting for Development Planning and Governance System, digitalization of processes, such as the use of MS Planner for incoming communication, vehicle request, and other Quality Management System-related processes.

The team visited the Overseas Development Assistance-funded Flood Risk Management Project for Cagayan de Oro River (FRIMP-CDOR) in Cagayan de Oro City and the Panguil Bay Bridge Project in Lanao del Norte province. They engaged with local stakeholders and paid a courtesy visit to RDC-X Chairperson and Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda Q. Dimaporo and Lanao del Norte Vice Governor Allan J. Lim.

The said learning activity concluded with a peek at Dahilayan Forest Park, which showcased the vibrant tourism landscape of the province of Bukidnon. (NEDA-X/PIA-10)
