New DOLE-10 employee ass'n president commits to fair, welfare for employees

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA) -- A turnover ceremony for the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 Employees Association for Reform, Efficiency, Service, and Teamwork (DEAREST)-10 incoming president was conducted at the DOLE-10 activity center on January 29 during its weekly convocation.

Together with the outgoing officers, the ceremonial turnover was anchored by President Roselito Raymundo Rosales, who was elected at the height of the pandemic in 2020.

Rosales underscored the management’s support in his entire stint as an exceptional term after dealing with significant events in a strong and active engagement, particularly in advancing the promotion and protection of our employees amidst the global crisis.

“As your voice, I witnessed positive development and more active engagement in intensifying initiatives through activities that were fully supported by the management. Undeniably, we are building bridges while forging common ground for our goals. I thank our DOLE-10 past regional directors for recognizing our diversity and having mutual respect for different views and opinions, as they have proven that constructive dialogue and cooperation are effective tools to promote camaraderie as we need to constantly strive for improvement,” Rosales said.

The event was meaningful, where Lloren, who also functions as the department’s budget officer, spoke of her vision for the entire staff as she stressed full support and cooperation with her leadership.

“As the new union president, I, together with my BOD, commit to continuing the good practices of the previous administration and to creating a harmonious relationship between the union and the management to be able to work together for the welfare and best interest of the DOLE employees,” she said.

“On a personal note, I commit to serving fairly and without bias. That is, at all times, the welfare of the employees must be consistently upheld,” the lady lawyer added.

On February 5, DOLE-10 Regional Director Erwin Aquino presided over a different oath-taking ceremony at the DOLE-10 activity center.

Along with the employees who attended offsite and expressed unwavering support for the new group of officers under Tennessee Lloren's leadership, there was Assistant Regional Director Russel Jallorina, provincial directors Emmanuel Toledo and Jose Errol Natividad, Technical Support Services Division Chief Atheneus Vasallo, and MALSU Chief/Mediator-Arbiter Condeo Bajarla in attendance.
