OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA) -- The Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office (DA-RFO)-10, through its Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado, continues the distribution of vegetable seeds and garden tools to the localities in the region to cultivate their food and strengthen food security.
On February 14, DA-10 Regional Technical Director for Operations Carlota S. Madriaga and High Value Crops Development Program focal person Kersten S. Pagalan handed over the pinakbet seeds together with some garden tools, which included a light hoe, plastic seedling tray, shovel, sprinkler, and weeding bolo, to the Local Government of Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental, through City Agriculturist Noel B. Piola.
Piola said the provisions are intended for San Vicente Alto Elementary School, and she is hopeful for the students to maximize the veggie seeds to grow and eventually, provide food for the school.
The DA-HVCDP funds said agricultural inputs through its Production Support Services, which pool funds from CY 2023. (DA-10/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
