The weather [in Camp Capinpin] is good, the place is pristine pa talaga siya and it's so [near] to Manila instead of going further North ito talaga 1 hour or 55 mins from Manila,” Avelino stated.
As COVID-19 spreads in 2020, the Army was forced to close the camp to the public. By then, they have improved the facilities and added more amenities available for recreational activities.
This year, 2ID’s Camp Capinpin will re-open to showcase what’s new inside the camp as they continue to let the general public know that they are part of their community.
Within the camp, one can experience the life of a soldier in action with their 9-member army squad in full battle gear and camouflage who demonstrate their combat formations and equipment in an obstacle course. Physical activities such as crawling in mud, zipline, rock wall climbing and rappelling are available for guests to enjoy.

Soldiers are ready to assist those who would conduct their team building activities in the camp where they can also try golfing and shooting.
Aside from physical activities, the 2ID launched the 2ID Acoustic Harmonies, a group which showcases the talented soldiers within their ranks, to serenade visitors during fellowship and social activities.
Camp Capinpin also maintains its own museum where people can see the old military equipment such as weapons, explosives and vehicles of the Armed Forces.
Avelino praised the initiative of the Army in developing the camp, while she encouraged other camps to do the same as part of their duty to serve and protect the people.
I think, all the camps, military camps in the Philippines should do the same diba, para its part of serving the people and making them part of what you do, andyan sila happy sila nakikita nila ang mga soldiers are doing their jobs” she said.
