ECAP youth facilitators thankful for World Vision

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA) -- Youth facilitators of Empowering Children as Peacebuilders (ECAP) Training of Trainers (ToT) conveyed their gratitude to World Vision for the opportunities provided to them.

Princess Jhehara Zacaria, who has been facilitating trainings since 2017, said that ECAP inspired and motivated her to teach her fellow youth on peacebuilding.  She revealed that World Vision has transformed her life from being a shy girl into an active peace advocate.

“Super salamat sa World Vision. Nakita nila akong lumaki. They see me improved from a very simple girl na sobrang mahiyain na ngayon ay isa na sa nag-aadvocate ng peace,” she said.

Meanwhile, for Isnihaya Abdul Saumay, ECAP has given her hope after her experiences during the Marawi siege. She also encouraged her fellow youth to join peace trainings to gain knowledge in skills to take part in improving the world.

Alhassan Santia Batabor also affirmed that his experiences in Marawi siege urged him to join the training in order to give support to his city and fellow youth.

“I  am very thankful sa World Vision dahil binigyan ako ng chance na iprove iyong kakayahan ko na maging isang youth leader or peace advocate para yung mga kabataan matutunan nila kung anong kahalagahan ng peace,” he said.
