Dgte reports no new COVID-19 cases

DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, July 26 (PIA) -- The Dumaguete Cit Inter-Agency Task Force has reported no new COVID-19 positive cases or recoveries recorded on July 25.

City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah Talla said for now, the city has 63 active COVID-19 cases, 2,662 recoveries, and 77 deaths since the city was affected by the pandemic from January 30, 2020 to July 25, 2021.

Talla said 16 barangays have reported zero to only one COVID-19 active case, while other 12 barangays are managing between two to six active cases. 

The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients whose conditions required admission have also dropped to 21. 

A number of RT-PCR swab test results for those previously exposed to COVID-19 cases and persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) are still pending and will be released in the coming days.

Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo reiterated the need for continued vigilance of the authorities in implementing the health protocols and acceleration of the vaccination of eligible population to manage the COVID-19 pandemic. (JCT/PIA7 Negros Oriental)
