ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) in Northern Mindanao has set up an email for its members to send their complaints or requests directly to PhilHealth-10 Regional Vice President Delio Aseron II.

In a virtual Kumustahan, Aseron said members can send their requests for assistance, complaints, or reports if they have seen a "pattern of corruption" in the implementation of PhilHealth programs directly to aksyonagadprox@gmail.com.

He assured that efforts will be made to ensure prompt action on matters and complaints sent to the email which he said will also serve as a whistleblower email.

"Rest assured na poproteksyonan ang information na binigay ninyo, i-endorse natin yan sa tamang opisina at sa legal office para magcase buildup, at pag may nakita pong mga probable na pwedeng isampang kaso ito po ay kakasuhan," he further said.

[Rest assured that the information you provided will be protected, we will endorse it to the right office and to the legal office to do case buildup, and if they see any probable case that can be filed, charges will be filed.]

Accordingly, this initiative was undertaken not only to provide faster and better service to its members and ensure redressal of public grievances promptly but also to prevent any abuse in the implementation of PhilHealth programs.

"Hindi po natin dapat hayaan na ito po ay abusuhin ng iilan na nais pagsamantalahan ang programa kaya tulungan niyo po kaming e report kung sakaling may magtatangkang gawin yan or kaya e upcase ang mga di dapat i-upcase na mga sakit," he said.

[We must not allow this to be abused by some who want to take advantage of the program, so please help us report in case someone attempts to do that or tries upcasing the diseases.] (APB/PIA-ICIC)
