TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) - - The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) partnered with the Cauayan City in the pilot implementation of the Vaccine Administration System (VAS) in the Cagayan Valley Region.

On its press release, the DICT Isabela Provincial Office posted that the SM City Cauayan Vaccination Site in Cauayan City is the first in the region to go live with the D-VAS.

The DICT VAS or D-VAS is part of the Vaccine Information Management System (VIMS) developed by the Department in support of the national immunization program of the government.

The VIMS is composed of the VIMS – Immunization Registry for master listing and pre-registration for vaccination and the D-VAS for the directory of vaccine recipients.

With the successful pilot launch of the D-Vas at SM City Cauayan, the city government has vowed to implement D-VAS in all its vaccination sites. (MDCT/PIA Cagayan)
